Eligibility

  • • Films must be created using AI technology (generative AI, machine learning, etc.)
  • • Any nationality and background welcome
  • • Both independent and studio-produced films are accepted
  • • Works can be previously screened or premiering at our festival
  • • Minimum film length: 15 seconds
  • • Publication and screening of all films in the catalogs AI Movie Platform is free
  • • A fee may be charged for film participation in the festival program if the submission deadline has passed

Technical Requirements

  • • Video formats: MP4, MOV, WebM (H.264 codec preferred)
  • • Minimum resolution: 720p - 1080p (1920x1080)
  • • Maximum file size: 300 MB
  • • Frame rate: 24fps, 25fps, or 30fps
  • • Audio: Stereo or 5.1 surround sound
  • • Foreign-language films must be presented with English subtitles

Content Restrictions

  • • No pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • • No content depicting graphic violence
  • • No hate speech or discriminatory content
  • • Films containing controversial content must include appropriate warnings

YouTube exclusivity for the festival

When submitting, if you want this film to be published on the official YouTube Festival channel, you must check additional boxes, or do not check if you do not need it.

For additional screening on the YouTube Festival channel, if the film is already on any other YouTube channel, you must remove it from that channel before the festival can screen or promote it on the official festival channel.

  • • By uploading a film, you confirm that you are the author or co-author of the film.
  • • Films can be any length, but micro-shorts (from 15 seconds) are a separate category
  • • Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis, so submit early for consideration
  • • Selected filmmakers will be notified with screening details and potential awards
